Main applications of PTMEG:

PTMEG is mainly used as the sof segments of segmented polyurethane or segmented polyether polyester. Segmented polyurethane rubber made from PTMEG with average molecular weight of 1000 is used for manufacturing tires, drive belts, washers, synthetic leathers, films and coatings and ete. Segmented polyether polyester is thermoplastic elastomer. lf the average molecular weight of PTMEG is 2000, polyurethane elastic fibers can be produced. Since PTMEG-based segmented polyurethane offers good anticoagulant property, it has new application in the field of medical high molecular material.
